What if a Bed n Breakfast met a campground? Then it met a hostel? Sprinkle some yoga on top…

—And you’ve got Heart of the Woods—

My name is Jared and I have been blessed with a piece of land in New Brunswick, Canada. It’s where I spent summers as a child. It is way off the beaten path and nestled right on the border of NB and Maine. I became a yoga teacher in 2016 and have traveled the world practicing yoga at these amazing eco-friendly yoga retreat centers and well, I would like to join the club 🙏🏼

With a cabin (that I helped my grandfather build when I was 10) - an outhouse (with a hole as tall as me) - a drilled well (with a pumphouse my uncle and I built) — I have the basics covered which helped immensely during that ole pandemic we had. I finished up a travel healthcare contract, picked up a tiny woodstove and headed to Canada - just to wait and see exactly  how this whole thing was going to play out. Two weeks turned into seven months and Heart of the Woods was born.

A place to gather around a campfire… a safe place for those traveling the open road…a little corner of the world that is near and dear to me and one that I would like share, grow and develop. Since then there have been gardens put in.

A wood-fired hot tub

A tarp garage

A 5th wheel trailer

Bikes and canoes aplenty

I used to go back and forth on what this vision would be. Then I realized it’s going to be all the things…campground, hostel, bed and breakfast, glamping eco-friendly yoga retreat center. To be the change you want to see in the world you first must become it yourself and that’s what I want to create at Heart of the Woods - thank you for your time 🙏🏼

-Namasté-
